We have recently had a large double-storey and side extension completed to a high standard by Carl and his team at Hardiman Construction. Everyone of the team deserves a big shout out - Tom, Dean, Chris, Christian, Reece, Callum and all the subcontractors - great job lads! Our project started earlier than expected in June 2023 and lasted around 8 months and we didn't even have to move out. Everyone pulled out all the stops to get the kitchen functional to have a Christmas Day! We worked with Carl to overcome architect drawing problems speedily and effectively, eg Tom built us a fantastic media wall which previously was a bland wall with a pillar holding up a steel! Carl’s quote was competitively priced compared to six others, and after visiting a nearby job recently finished it was an easy decision to make in the end. Even time and care was taken by everyone during the build to ensure our dog didn't escape onto the busy main road.
We would recommend Hardiman Construction to any new potential customers as we are very happy with the quality of the work carried out. Carls team have since completed further work for us by laying our patio and side path to a high standard. Well done all!

We have recently had a double-storey extension and attic conversion completed by Carl and his team at Hardiman Construction. A massive shout out to Dean, Tom, Chris, Christian, Reece, Callum and anybody else involved; they worked tirelessly to ensure our requirements were met. Our project was due to start in May 2023 but actually started in March 2023 and finished in late October 2023.
Carl and his team were fantastic and having seen their work previously we had no qualms choosing Hardiman Construction. Carl’s quote was competitive compared to others and it was a really easy decision to make. We were able to stay in the property whilst the work was being carried out with very minimal disruption to our daily lives. Although we won’t miss the 7.30am starts.

I can highly recommend the services of Hardiman Construction for commercial building works. Our dental practice required a rear extension and multiple retrofits to improve access and modernise the facilities. This presented several challenges with consultation from the Health and Safety Executive, Care Quality Commission, Fire Department and Solihull Council. Carl dealt with the many setbacks we faced with the build in a pragmatic and professional manner. We did not lose a single day of clinical time with our patients as the team scheduled the works to prevent loss of facilities, even working on a Saturday when necessary.
The quality of the finish is excellent and we are especially grateful to Carl for sourcing specialist materials, like X-ray resistant plasterboard and lead doors, as well as saving us a lot of money on the surgery cabinets by going direct to a supplier and negotiating on our behalf. The patients were all very impressed by the speed and craftsmanship during the build. We have a “Phase 2” planned in the form of a new main entrance and waiting room, and will be using Hardiman Construction again very soon.

I would recommend Carl for any building project based the experience I have had. I chose Carl for my project based on the recommendation of a friend, the testimonials on his website and of course a competitive price for the work to be completed. As a Project Manager I know that any project is a balance between, cost, time and quality. Scheduling in the construction industry is well known to be difficult, however Carl was able to ensure materials continued to be delivered all through 2021 where it seemed every news story I read suggested materials would not be available, this linked to some out the box scheduling allowed us to keep on track when friends in similar situations were struggling. The quality of the work completed is excellent with no quibbles resolving any issues that I raised. Finally as anyone who has watched Grand Designs knows, a building project of this size will see cost challenges, this coupled to a 40% increase in many material prices meant we had to increase the budget, however this was an easy discussion to have as Carl was extremely fair and pragmatic over the various changes I asked for (additional access to garage etc) and the material increases meaning we reached an agreement quickly and were able to move on with the project, this was an area many friends told me I would need to be prepared to argue over and it was not the case. In conclusion if you are looking for someone to complete your project that in my opinion works with a very good balance between cost, time and quality and is easy to deal with then I would recommend Carl, my wife and I are extremely happy with the new home that Carl has built us and look forward to many years here. - Dave
